'SEALAB One' 50th Anniversary Celebrated in Panama City

On Thursday afternoon in Panama City, a symposium was held to celebrate the anniversary of one very important underwater exploration mission that got its start right here in Bay County. The historic mission was known as SEALAB One. The SEALAB program began at what was known as the Navy Mine Defense Laboratory in Panama City Beach. Fifty years ago this week, they set out on their first mission, which would end up opening new doors into the world of undersea exploration. More>>
