    In the last couple of months, a group of community leaders have been working with law enforcement to stop the violence that plagued the area in the spring and early summer. Chairwoman of the LEAD Coalition, Janice Lucas say they organization hopes to come together and begin to build trust.     After a hectic first week back to school in Bay County, the Transportation Director has resigned. Bob Downin turned in his resignation Friday, citing personal reasons, according to Bay District Superintendent Bill Husfelt. The first week of school saw a myriad of problems with the school bus system. Parents and students say they were upset over delayed buses and poor scheduling.Superintendent Husfelt says Downin is stepping down, but will continue to work through October.     When Leon County Circuit Judge Terry Lewis ruled in favor of changing recently drawn congressional maps, the Florida Legislature called a special session and made changes to Districts Five and Ten.
