GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A University of Florida football player is accused of using a dead girl's credit card.

Jamar Hornsby turned himself in Friday morning on charges of credit card theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. His attorney, Huntley Johnson, says they learned that a judge had
issued a warrant for Hornsby's arrest Thursday.

The 21-year-old was later released on his own recognizance.

It's not immediately clear how he got Ashley Slonina's credit card. Slonina, also a University of Florida student, died in a motorcycle accident in 2007 along with another football player,
redshirt freshman Michael Guilford.

Johnson says his client will cooperate with authorities. Horsnby will be staying with his mother in Jacksonville where he is from.

Slonina was from Lynn Haven.  Guilford was a stand out football player for the Blountstown Tigers team who went to the playoffs during his career as quarterback.
