Nadeen Yanes
Reporter
Nadeen Yanes joined the WMBB-TV news team as a General Assignment Reporter in July 2010. She is the definition of a Florida girl, being raised in the heart of Central Florida and is a devout Gator graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication and a concentration in Arabic Languages and Literature.
During her time at the University of Florida, Nadeen served as the main anchor, reporter and producer for WUFT-TV in Gainesville as well as an anchor and producer at WRUF-AM850. In addition to going to school full-time, Nadeen also worked for two years at the ABC affiliate in Gainesville at WCJB-TV20 as a reporter and weekend producer.
In January 2010, Nadeen was one of 12 selected from across the nation to participate in the Meredith-Cronkite Fellowship Program. Within the program, Nadeen worked closely and learned the tricks of the trade with the news staff at KPHO-CBS 5 in Phoenix, Arizona. There she learned that the people are the story and that she, as a journalist, is working in this field for YOU, the viewer.
For Nadeen, her family is her life. While she does get homesick, she finds her own family right here in Northwest Florida by serving our community. She loves listening to what people have to say and is more than happy to receive any comments or interesting story ideas you may have. Feel free to email her at nyanes@wmbb.com .
