We are a 323-bed regional referral center, serving a seven-county area in the central panhandle of Florida. Chartered in 1949 as Memorial Hospital of Bay County, Bay Medical's capacity, services, staff and technology have expanded several-fold. Unchanged, however, is the medical center's mission of providing a full range of quality health care services to everyone in our community.

Bay Medical has over 200 physicians on staff representing virtually every medical specialty, and a support staff of more than 2,000 dedicated employees.

Bay Medical's Outpatient Center has available the latest in diagnostic services including open and closed magnetic resonance imaging systems, CT scanner, ultrasound, the latest in mammography equipment and full diagnostic X-ray equipment. The outpatient center affords our customers the convenience of having their outpatient diagnostic tests completed in one easy location.

Bay Medical has earned national recognition for quality heart services, consistently rating number one in Northwest Florida. Bay Medical is also nationally accredited by The Joint Commission as a Center of Excellence in the treatment of heart attack, stroke and heart failure.

As the area's only comprehensive heart center, Bay Medical offers a full range of cardiac care, from open-heart surgery to a dedicated cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU). The cardiac care program includes an extensive cardiac catheterization lab equipped to perform catheterizations, angioplasties and electrophysiology testing and treatment.

Surgical Services
Bay Medical's surgical center features 16 surgical suites accommodating nearly 10,000 surgeries a year, including almost 400 open-heart surgeries. Our surgical suites provide the latest technology for orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery and microsurgery as well as laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.Bay Medical's da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System offers patients a less invasive surgical option for certain procedures with dramatically reduced side effects and a quicker recovery. When needed, Bay Medical also offers convenient outpatient surgery with the security of a full-scale hospital's resources.
