The Bay County Humane Society is better prepared to fulfill its mission, thanks to the hard work of a group of local youngsters.
Kids from the North Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church dropped of pet food, treats, bedding, and nearly 500 dollars in cash to the Humane Society Saturday morning.
They spent about two months collecting the items from friends, family, and fellow church members.
They also collected monetary donations, but worked for some of the money by mowing lawns and performing other services.
Humane society officials say the effort, and the donation, was almost over whelming.
