One of the biggest topics in college football over the past couple of days had FSU in the mix. Texas A&M stirred up conference realignment talks yesterday morning when they expressed their desire to join the SEC, however, the SEC voted today not to invite A&M – or anyone else.
Now, if A&M had been voted in, the SEC would have looked for a 14th team and rumors swirled that Clemson, Missouri, and FSU were all in the mix. News 13's Alison Posey asked FSU players and coaches Sunday about the possibility, and here's what they had to say:
Head Coach Jimbo Fisher: As far as I know, we're staying in the ACC. We're going to try and take advantage of this year and focus on the season. It's not a distraction because we're getting prepared for ULM and going for our game. We just live in the now. We don't worry about the future, we live in the now.
Redshirt Junior Wide Receiver and Bay High Graduate Bert Reed: It's irrelevant to this year and to this team. We're in the ACC, we're going to do our best to win the ACC. It's an irrelevant question. We're in the ACC right now, and that's our goal- to win the ACC Championship.
