While at UGA, Alyssa spent most of her time in the UGANewsource newsroom, where she reported, produced, and anchored. In addition to broadcast news and French, Alyssa was active in her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau.

Alyssa has been involved in broadcasting since high school. In 2007, Alyssa co-hosted a radio show for teenagers called Teen Talk. The summer before starting at News 13, Alyssa completed her internship at WSB-TV in Atlanta. While at WSB, Alyssa worked part time with the investigative team. From this internship, Alyssa developed a passion for investigative reporting, something she hopes to pursue in the future.
