The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of LB Williams, 50 years of age. Williams is being charged with one count of Domestic Violence Stalking and one count of Exhibits That Intimidate.
The arrest comes after an investigation was started on November 4, 2011 at approximately 12:30A.M. Officers with the Panama City Police Department responded to 3200 West 20th Court in reference to a fire. Upon arrival they observed a wooden cross, which had been burned in the driveway of the residence. A child in the residence observed the burning cross and reported it to her mother. The scene was processed and Detectives with the Panama City Police Department were notified. Detectives spoke with Williams and his family in reference to the incident. On November 6, 2011 Officers were again called to the residence in reference to threatening notes left on the doors of the house. The threatening notes were collected along with other evidence in this case. Detectives continued to investigate the case. On November 14, 2011 Williams was brought to the Police Department and interviewed in reference to this case. It is believed that in an effort to prevent his wife from continuing with divorce proceedings Williams burned the cross and wrote the notes to intimidate her. Williams was arrested on November 14, 2011 at approximately 3:45 P. M. without incident.
