It's a tradition that dates back hundreds of years, quilt making. The mission of the St. Andrew Bay Quilters Guild is to further the art of quilt making with members considering the craft much more than a hobby.
The Guild has been around for more than 30 years and is made up of over 130 members who take part in all skill levels of quilting. Many of the quilts are donated to nursing homes, local charities, and area veterans. Members say one of the most special parts of quilt making is the personal satisfaction they get knowing they're giving a piece of themselves for future generations, especially family members to cherish.
The Quilters Guild meets on the third Wednesday morning of the month and the third Thursday night of the month at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on 11th street and Baker court.
