If you were wondering what the smoke in Bay County was from it was from The Florida Forest Service is conducting a controlled burn.
Firefighters were out burning over a hundred acres of land near Highway 231 and county road 2301.
Prescribed burns are a way to help restore the plants and other vegetation in the area.
Firefighters perform the burns to help get rid of what could be *fuel* if a fire breaks out in the area.
The burn is scheduled to continue tomorrow.
