
On 0214/2012 at approx. 7:20 pm, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on vehicle for an expired tag. Once the vehicle came to a rest the driver exited the vehicle and began walking towards the Officer.
The Officer gave verbal commands for the driver to show his hands and in which he complied. The Officer then conducted a pat down of the individual identified as, Calvin Eugene Milton. Milton was informed for the reason of the stop. While checking Milton's driver license the Officer received a notice stating Milton had an active warrant out of Jackson County.
Milton was then placed under arrest. Milton gave consent to Officers to search his vehicle and located in the cab of the SUV Officers found a small bag containing a white powdery substance, a cut straw with white powder residue, and a razor blade with the powdery substance on it. All three powders were field tested and gave a positive response for the presence of Cocaine. Milton was later transported to JCCF to await first appearance.
