Gulf Coast State College is Going Green with its Green Program. In this program students learn how to save energy and help the environment. This semester students are taking the shell of a Mazda Miata and turning it into an all electric vehicle.
"We're going with a bigger motor that's going to give twice the power. Pretty much with three dollars you can drive one hundred miles with the car," said professor Antonio Adessi. He's continuing to expand the green program and believes that the students taking part in building the electric car are getting a great experience applying what they learn in the classroom.
