Second Chance Community Project

Posted: Updated:

A "local" charity gets a new look thanks to a major business.

With the help of a 5 thousand dollar Home Depot Community Impact Grant, Second Chance received new floors and new paint.

For the last 23 years Home Depot has provided this grant to help community based organizations fix up their facility.

The money covered the cost of the flooring and the paint, but the labor was provided by volunteers.

Members of home depot and the navy base helped fix up the building.

One of the volunteers, Amy Sauers says she wants the public to understand what home depot is all about.  "I think to the community that its nice to know it not just a local box store that they can come to us one on one or give is a phone call if they have a question or we are wiling to come out to help provide a service."
