Suspects Sought in Jackson County Burglary

Posted: Updated:

On 02/14/12 Officers responded to the Jackson County Senior Citizen's Center located 2931 Optimist Drive, Marianna, Fl., in reference to a burglary. While it is not certain how entry was gained into the center, it was reported that a flat screen TV, a Wii console, with two controllers, two Wii games and two cases of Meals-on-Wheels frozen dinners were taken.

On 02/12/12 two suspicious subjects were seen at another business in the area, acting as pest control, but after being denied their services, they left the area.  On 02/13/14, one of the subjects that were acting as pest control returned to the same business, this time acting as if he was a custodian of the business.  That subject was again asked to leave the premises.  It is not known if the suspicious incidents are directly related to the burglary at the Senior Citizens Center.  Both incidents are currently under investigation.

If anyone has information about either of the incidents, they are asked to call the Marianna Police Department at 850-526-3125 or Crime Stoppers at 850-526-5000.
