Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests by Florida Highway Patrol

Posted: Updated:

A traffic stop conducted by the Florida Highway Patrol in Holmes County leads to the arrest of two people.

According to the FHP, troopers conducted a stop on County Road 177, just north of Will Lee Road, due to the driver and front passenger not wearing seat belts.

During the stop, probable cause was developed that lead troopers to believe the suspects were returning from a trip to pick up items to manufacture methamphetamine. A search of the residence where the suspects lived resulted in the discovery of items used in a "shake and bake" meth lab.

Arrested were Jeffery Kincaid and Susan Kincaid and booked into the Holmes County Jail on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of listed chemicals.

The Holmes County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.
