    Red and watery eyes should not be ignored. It could signal an infection of the eye.  Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is going around this week.

If you've been suffering from congestion and a cough, you're not alone.  We told you the last two weeks about the pollen leading to a condition called Allergic Rhinitis.  Now, doctors are seeing a complication from that.

Sinusitis is now going around.

Dr. Timothy Nichols from Emerald Coast Urgent Care says Sinusitis can cause:

  • Fever
  • Nasal congestion and drainage
  • Facial pain or pressure
  • Headache
  • Cough
  • Pain in the upper teeth
  • Reduced sense of smell or taste

Dr. Nichols says you are most at risk for developing this condition if:

  • You've had a recent Upper Respiratory Infection
  • Have a history of sinus problems or respiratory illnesses
  • Have a weak immune system
  • Struggle with asthma and allergies
  • Smoke

It's important to get treatment as soon as you notice symptoms.
