Man Arrested on Meth Charges in Jackson County

On February 16, 2011 the Jackson County Drug Task Force continued an ongoing investigation on Keith Brian Barnes regarding his continued involvement in the Use, Manufacture, and Sale of Methamphetamine in Jackson County, Florida.

The investigation began on September 27, 2011 when Law Enforcement executed a controlled delivery of items used to manufacture Methamphetamine to Barnes at his residence on New Salem Church Road near Kynesville, Florida. Upon completing the delivery Barnes was arrested and a search warrant was executed on his residence. During that search, evidence of Methamphetamine production as well as Methamphetamine and Methamphetamine Oil and drug paraphernalia were located. Barnes was subsequently charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, Possession of Listed Chemicals, Sale of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On that day Barnes was housed in the Jackson County Jail.

Barnes was able to post bond and get out of jail. Upon Barnes' release information began circulating that Barnes was again involved in manufacturing Methamphetamine.

On February 16, 2012 the Jackson County Drug Task Force executed another controlled delivery of items used to manufacture Methamphetamine to Barnes. Again Barnes was arrested. In addition to the items used to manufacture Methamphetamine Barnes was also in possession of prescription medication, Clonazepam without a prescription.

Barnes was charged with Trafficking in Amphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Barnes was transported to and housed in the Jackson County Jail.
