UPDATE: More Arrested for Beck Avenue Incident

UPDATE: The Panama City Police Department continues to investigate the events that led up to the original reported Robbery that occurred On March 5, 2012 at approximately 1:54 am in the area of 12th Street and Beck Avenue.

The following additional arrests were made on March 6, 2012 throughout the evening hours. Alissa J. Bonvillain, 19 years of age, was arrested for one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Shelby R. Bercegeay, 19 years of age, was arrested for one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Joshua B. Ridgeway, 24 years of age, was arrested for one count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Lea M. Kostic, 22 years of age, was arrested for three counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Kidnapping. Bonvillain and Bercegeay are both residents of Thibodaux, Louisiana. Ridgeway and Kostic are both residents of Panama City, Florida.

Detectives and Investigators with Panama City Police Department Criminal Investigations and Special Operations were able to piece together the events that surrounded the original call on March 5, 2012 after a lengthy investigation.

Curtis and Mixdorf are believed to be involved in the distribution of Marijuana and arrangements were made for the sale of Marijuana between them and Bonvillain, Bercegeay, and Ridgeway at 422 Venetian Way, Curtis' and Mixdorf's residence. During this transaction Bonvillain, Bercegeay, and Ridgeway planned to commit Robbery, "Rip Off", Curtis for the Marijuana. During this transaction and chain of events Bonvillain became separated form Bercegeay and Ridgway as they fled in a vehicle, Curtis and Kostic then forced Bonvillain into a separate vehicle and threatened her with continued violence as they pursued Bercegeay and Ridgway's vehicle. Bonvillain received injuries to her hand during these events until Curtis and Mixdorf's vehicle crashed into Bercegeay and Ridgway vehicle near 15th Street and Chestnut. Avenue.

At this point Bonvillain managed to escape and police were notified and responded to the area of 12th Street and Beck Avenue. Bonvillain received medical treatment at a local hospital for her injuries. Both vehicles have been located and all charges have been made in reference to this case.

UPDATE: The Panama City Police Department announces additional charges in reference to a Robbery investigation that began on March 5, 2012 near the intersection of Beck Avenue and 12th Street.

Bryan W. Curtis, 20 years of age was additionally charged with one count of Kidnapping and one count of Unlawful Use of A Two Way Communication Device. Melissa A. Mixdorf, 19 years of age was additionally charged with one count of Unlawful Use of A Two Way Communication Device. The three victims involved in this case are adults.

The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Bryan W. Curtis, 20 years of age and Melissa Mixdorf, 19 years of age. On March 5, 2012 at approximately 1:54 am Panama City Police Department responded to the area of 12th Street and Beck Avenue in reference to a Robbery. During the investigation Curtis was developed as a suspect.

On March 5, 2012 a search warrant was obtained and served at Curtis' residence located at 422 Venetian Way in Panama City. At approximately 11:54 pm on March 5, 2012 Curtis was arrested during the search warrant for three counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Aggravated Battery, one count of False Imprisonment and one count of Robbery stemming from the original investigation.

Also during the search of the residence evidence was located and seized that indicates Curtis and Mixdorf were involved in the distribution of Marijuana. Both were charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and later transported to the Bay County Jail.
