The Vernon Yellow Jacket baseball team fell short of a play-off appearance this spring, but one key player for the Jackets inked a college scholarship today to continue his career on the diamond.
Bryce Farrar signed with Florida A&M University Monday in front of family and friends. Bryce was recruited by the Rattlers as a 2nd baseman, but says he may see some time on the mound for the green and orange.
As a Jacket, Bryce boasted a .237 ERA on the hill with 66 strikeouts. Offensively he had .358 batting average driving in 24 RBI's.
