First on the list…Crib Tents and Play Yard Tents made by Tots in Mind, Inc. According to the CPSC, there have been 27 tent failures resulting in one fatality and one serious injury over the past 15 years. In 2008, a two-year-old boy died after becoming entrapped in a play yard tent. The company, Tots in Mind, Inc., is no longer in business. But, retailers who sold the products are stepping up to offer refunds. If you have these products contact the store where they were purchased for a refund or store credit. Next up.. 14' trampolines.. Recalled by Sportspower Limited. The netting surrounding the trampolines can break, allowing children to fall through the netting and be injured. There have been 17 reports of the net breaking,11 injuries including broken bones, back and beck injuries. Consumers should stop using the trampolines immediately and contact Sportspower to receive replacement black netting for the trampoline. Kennedy international recalls Folding Step Stools. The company has learned of at least 15 incidents involving step stools cracking or breaking resulting in back injuries and a report of a fractured leg. This recall involves 9-inch and 13-inch folding step stools. And, Clip-on desk lamps sold at Lowe's stores are recalled. The hazard: the power cord can detach where it meets the clamp, exposing wires posing an electric shock risk. The CPSC says there have been reports of cords detaching including one reported electric shock and one report of a child receiving burns. Stop using immediately and return to the manufacturer..
