Bicyclist Dies Following Walton County Crash - WMBB News 13 - The Panhandle's News Leader
A DeFuniak Springs man is dead following a traffic crash on State Road 83.
Florida Highway Patrol says around 7 Friday morning, 48-year-old Sandy Manning of Westville was traveling southbound on State Road 83.
57-year-old Richard Durden was on the side of the road, when Manning approached him with her vehicle.
Authorities say witnesses on the scene state that Manning drifted onto the side of the road and hit Durden.
The collision threw Durden off his bicycle and landed on the windshield of Manning's car.
Durden died at the scene.
Charges in this case are pending.
