Crash Closes Roadway; Leaves Firefighters Cleaning Up Fuel - WMBB News 13 - The Panhandle's News Leader
The Florida Department of Transportation and Bay County Fire Rescue work to clean up a fuel spill following a crash that closed down part of Panama City Beach Parkway.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Friday around 8:20 a.m., 43-year-old Douglas Middleton was traveling southbound on Gainous Road and stopped at the intersection of Panama City Beach Parkway.
45-year-old Gerald Smith was traveling westbound on Panama City Beach Parkway and approached the Gainous Road intersection in the outside through lane.
Middleton and Smith's cars collided in the intersection.
The eastbound lanes of Panama City Beach Parkway closed down for some time following the crash.
