Vernon Man Killed In Washington County Traffic Crash - WMBB News 13 - The Panhandle's News Leader

A Vernon man is dead after a single car crash in Washington County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 1990 Toyota Celica was northbound on Clemmons Road at about 9:45 p.m. Friday when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road.  The FHP said that caused the car to cross the southbound lane, then leave the roadway and strike a dirt embankment.

Zachary Dixon, 38, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
