Candidate Qualifying Ends; List of Bay County Races

Qualifying is now over officially to run for office.

In Bay County, there are some candidates that are automatically re-elected due to no opposition.

Those candidates include:

Clerk of Court Bill Kinsaul (R), Sheriff Frank Mckeithen (R), District One Bay County Commissioner Mike Nelson (R) and Bay District School Board member Ryan Neves.

There are also many candidates that will be on the ballot, Incumbent Bay County Property Appraiser Dan Sowell (R) is challenged by Gregory LaPlante (NPA).

Incumbent Tax Collector Peggy Brannon (D) faces Connie Overstreet (R).

Incumbent School Superintendent Bill Husfelt (R) is challenged by Mackie Owens (D).

In the Supervisor of Elections race, incumbent Mark Andersen (R) faces opposition from Terri Pierce (R).

Four candidates qualified for District Three Bay County Commission, Incumbent Bill Dozier (R), Charles Mayo Bodiford (R), Henry Lawrence (G) and Les Nelson (D).

In the race for Bay County Commission District Five are Incumbent Mike Thomas (R), Brian Rust Jr. (NPA), and Jim Lawson (R).

School Board District One candidates are Incumbent Jerry Register, Gregory Hines, Jr., and Ricky Rivers.
