Update: Pedestrian Remains Hospitalized After Being Hit

Panama City, Fla. -
A two car collision on Highway 98 and Mound Ave. is still under investigation. One man remains hospitalized.
 
Panama City Police say the driver of the red 2001 Chrysler, 28 year old Kellie Taylor of Panama City has been released from the hospital. But the 63 year old pedestrian, whose name has not yet been released, is still in the hospital with life threatening injuries.
 
Investigators say Taylor struck the man while he was crossing the road around 4:40pm.

A pedestrian is hit by a vehicle on Highway 98 near Mound Avenue in Panama City.

Panama City Police responded to the scene around 4:45 Friday evening.

A traffic homicide investigation is underway at this time. Police say the older man was hit by a red car and received severe injuries.

Highway 98 from Mound Avenue to 23rd Street is closed at this time. Police urge drivers to use 19th Street as an alternative.
