On June 9th 2012 officers at Marianna Police Department received a burglary alarm for Smith and Smith Jewelry Store located on Lafayette Street in Marianna. When officers responded to the alarm they noticed two suspects entering an alley at the rear of the jewelry store. Those suspects are identified as Anthony Shakir Candelaria Jr. and Lee Jennings Tharp. Officers arrested Candelaria Jr. and Tharp while they were trying to leave the alley on foot. Both suspects were arrested for attempted burglary and loitering. The two men were transported to the Jackson County Jail Facility and wait first appearance.
