The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Codey M. Tucker, 19 years of age. Tucker was arrested on June 12, 2012 at approximately 4:00 a.m. and charged with Lewd or Lascivious Battery of a victim older than 12 years of age, but younger than 16.
Panama City Police officers responded to a residence where family of the victim discovered Tucker inside the residence, unclothed, and notified the police. Tucker was detained at the residence. Detectives learned during the investigation that Tucker and the victim met online, on a social networking site, a few weeks ago. Tucker and the victim agreed to meet through the online site at the victim's residence. Prior to being discovered in the residence by family of the victim, Tucker did engage in sexual activity with the minor.
Tucker was booked into the Bay County Jail for the charge.
