With dangerous conditions in the Gulf, law enforcement is out in full force making sure you stay safe.

On a double red flag day like Monday, someone in the water could be looking at 100 dollar fine, and the Walton County Sheriff's Office says it doesn't matter if you're a resident or country music star like Jason Aldean, safety comes first.

According to the non-criminal citation from the Walton County Sheriff's Office, Aldean faces a fine of 100 dollars for swimming in the water Monday in Grayton Beach on a double red flag day.

Facebook wall posts from Jason Aldean yesterday say quote "Dear officer who gave me a ticket on the beach today for swimming in the water with double red flags...thanks for the warning Barney Fife."

A follow up post says, "I know he was just doing his job...but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't drown in knee deep water". Gimmy a break!"

Tuesday, News 13 spoke to Sheriff's Office about the citation, they say Aldean was warned., and with more than 6 calls to rescue Monday, they're taking no risks.

"We don't want to treat anyone differently just because of their status or any other reason. We want to keep everyone safe," says Wendy Ammons with the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
