It's a dental clinic on wheels, bringing vital dental services to low income children in the community.
"We have many children who are on the Medicaid here, and because of the fact that there are transportation issues...we try to make sure that we bring our dental clinic to community as a service," says Dr. Paula Nesbitt with the Bay County Health Department.
The Bay County Health Department's "Miles of Smiles" program is bringing their mobile clinic to Big Bend Community Based Care, stopping at 910 Harrison Avenue. They are providing free screenings and comprehensive care to those families on Medicaid with open cases.
For those families receiving the care, like Amanda Hill and her children, they say the convenience of the mobile unit is a major advantage.
"I mean when they come to you, it just helps out so much because for the people that don't have the transportation they can just come here... I love it," says Hill.
"Miles of Smiles" will be back at the same location on Harrison Avenue tomorrow from 9 am- 3 pm.
