
June 14, 2012The Panama City Police Department is currently investigating a traffic crash involving a single vehicle at W. Hwy. 98 and Deer Avenue.
There are no injuries.
Panama City Police responded to the crash at approximately 6:30 p.m. A 90's model Nissan car that was being driven by a 29-year-old local male driver struck a power pole. The pole and wires dropped to the roadway, blocking all lanes of travel on Hwy. 98.
Gulf Power crews were in route at the time of the release to repair the downed lines. H
wy. 98 is temporarily closed to both east and west traffic at Michigan Avenue and Deer Avenue. Motorist are asked to use 19th Street and 23rd Street to avoid the road closure.
The crash remains under investigation; more information will be release as it becomes available.
