Best Buy and Lowe's Home Improvement have tons of gift ideas for last minute shoppers before Father's Day and many items may be just what dad's looking for.
"He kind of dragged me out there this morning and he said 'hey lets go look at some of the electronics at best buy' and I can't refuse that," said Patrick Bates.
Bates and his father, Mark, are spending quality time together checking out deals on new computers and laptops. Best Buy employees say online orders are pouring in for fathers day pick ups. Best Buy is featuring sales for LCD TVs, electric razors, and the kindle fire has also been a popular buy.
Lowe's Home Improvement has an entire section dedicated to gifts for dad where you can get last minute presents for under $25.
While these gifts ideas may be good, dads I spoke to say the sweetest deal may not a big screen or fancy tools, but spending quality time with family.
"Yea, you know I like spending time with my family," said Mark Bates. "I got tons of stuff. I don't need any more stuff."
"He means a lot," said Patrick Bates about his father Mark. "He comes to almost all my games. It's amazing and like he said he plays video games with me. He's like my little buddy."
A good strategy for finding gift ideas is visiting web sites and finding out what's in stock or just picking up a catalog at the store. Most deals last through Father's Day.
