Voter Information Cards Mailed in Bay County

The Supervisor of Elections Office wants all voters to know that 106,000 New Voter Information Cards are being received by voters beginning today.  Updates and changes are on the new cards.

Already our phones are extremely busy, so please be patient.  We want to answer all calls and give you the information you need.

To help alleviate some of your questions, the number of precincts has been reduced from 55 precincts to 44 precincts for the following reasons:

• Budgetary and Redistricting Constraints
• Increased Early Voting Hours (12 hours a day for 8 days 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. August 4^th – 11^th)
• Over 50% of all voting was performed by Absentee Voting or Early Voting in the 2010 Election cycle.  This will continue to increase in the 2012 election cycle.
