Mobile Meth-Lab Bust

The following is a news release from the Crestview Police Department:

NEWS RELEASE. JUNE 25TH, 10 P.M.

The City of Crestview Police Department is currently investigating and in the process of securing a Mobile Methamphetamine Laboratory that was discovered during a routine traffic stop. Officers of the Crestview Police Department initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in the parking lot on the McDonalds located at 1300 North Ferdon Boulevard.

The Crestview Police Department's K-9 Unit was utilized during the traffic stop, and alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed that there was a Mobile Methamphetamine Lab known as a "Shake and Bake".

At this time the Crestview Police Department in conjunction with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, and Guardian Environmental, are in the disassembly phase of the Meth Lab, and the area remain secured for public safety reasons.

Two people have been detained in reference to the incident. Additional information will be released in regards to this case as the investigation continues.
