Three Injured in Head-On Crash

Three people are in serious condition, after a Bay County wreck.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car carrying 72-year-old Whitley Pemberton, and Sara Schmidt collided with another car at around 10 p.m. on Sunday. Pemberton and Schmidt were heading west on County Road 2321.

At the same time, a car driven by Deborah Simmons was heading east.  State Troopers say Simmons drove into the path of the car driven by Pemberton and collided head-on.

All three people were from Panama City and were taken to Bay Medical Center in serious condition.  The investigation is ongoing.
