CITY OF PANAMA CITY - DOWNTOWN MARINA

The City of Panama City and the Downtown Improvement Board proudly invite you to come be a part of this very patriotic celebration. Bring the kids, grandkids and lawn chairs and enjoy one of the largest Fireworks Display in the panhandle of Florida at the Downtown Panama City Marina. Simulcasts on ALL Magic Broadcasting Stations. Talk 101.1, Island 106, V-100 and 97X.

The festival kicks off the celebration on July 4th at 2:00 p.m featuring:

  • Non-stop live music
  • Tons of Children's Activities
  • Finger-licking good food
  • Retail and Craft booths
  • Adult beverages
  • All-Day Tours of the Governor Stone Schooner

Schedule of Events

  • 2 pm-3:30 pm -The Tony Vegas Band
  • 4 pm-6:00 pm Red Hot Momma & the Alligator Daddies
  • 6 pm-8:30 pm The Shawn Rader Band
  • 2 pm-4 pm Home Depot Children's area. Kids can learn from the experts as they build their very own crafts.
  • 4:30- Color Guard Presentation of Governor Stone 38 star flag
  • 5:00 pm - National Anthem and Fly-Over by US Air Force F-22's
  • 9:00 pm -  FIREWORKS Extravaganza!
  • 10 pm - Festival Closes

The event is FREE and open to the public and there is plenty of parking in and around the downtown.

PANAMA CITY BEACH - PIER PARK

  • 9:00 a.m. Veterans Celebration at the Veteran's Memorial Park (adjacent to Aaron Bessant Park) Chairs will be provided for Vets and Families for the Morning Service.
  • 7:30 p.m. POPS Performance in Aaron Bessant Park. Bring your chairs, blankets and all the children.
  • 9:00 p.m. Three Fireworks Shows all along the Gulf. City Pier, County Pier and Grand Lagoon.

LYNN HAVEN - VARIOUS LOCATIONS

  • 7:00 a.m. Pancake Breakfast- Lynn Haven Lions Club - 708 Iowa Avenue.
  • 8:00 a.m. Flag raising ceremony - Lynn Haven City Hall (825 Ohio Avenue) National Anthem: "Harmony Shores Choir"
  • 8:15 a.m. Youth Bike Parade (12 & under)Regions Bank parking Lot at 630 Ohio Avenue DECORATE those bikes patriotically and show off your hard work!! Organized by Lynn Haven Boy Scout Troop# 300. All entries will fall into the parade. (Parade ends at 11th St.)
  • Registration day of!
  • 9:00 a.m. Parade -The parade will proceed East on 5th St. from Montana Ave to S. R. Hwy 77, then South on S. R. Hwy 77 then West on 11th Street to Florida Ave.

  • 10:30 a.m. Horseshoe Registration / horseshoe pits across Pennsylvania Avenue Fishing Rodeo 12 & Under sponsored by Bay County Bass Club
  • 10:45 a.m. Welcome - Mayor Kelley Followed by a performance by the "Panama City Pipes & Drums"
  • 11:00 a.m. Horseshoe Contest Begins/Watermelon eating contest registration (near center pavilion)
  • 11:30 a.m. Demonstration - Yoshukai Karate - Jimmy Croley
  • 1:00 p.m. Watermelon Eating Contest ( North side of park) Live Music / Pavilion "Golden Rose" (country , variety)
  • 3:00 p.m. Activities ends at Sheffield Park

NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY - PANAMA CITY

The Naval Support Facility will host a fireworks show on July 3 in the bay

BOARDWALK BEACH RESORT

Boardwalk Beach Resort will host a fireworks show on July 7.

VETERANS CELEBRATION

As we celebrate the birth of our country again this year, we do not want to forget those who have fought and sacrificed so much in defense of our freedom.

The Bay County Veterans Memorial Re-Dedication ceremony will take place at 9:00 AM on the 4th at Veterans Memorial Plaza which is across from the Grand Theater at Pier Park.

CAPT Scott Pratt, Commanding Officer of the Naval Support Warfare Center PCD, will be the guest speaker. There will be a Color Guard  and Wreath Laying, with special music from Sgt. Michael Anderson, TAFB.

CITY OF DESTIN

The City of Destin will host its 4th Annual Independence Day Celebration & Bike Parade on Friday, June 29th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Morgan Sports Center. The event is for the whole family with tons of fun activities for children of all ages.

The Bike Parade will start the celebration at 6:30 p.m. Children ages 14 and under are asked to decorate their bike, scooter or wagon with patriotic decorations for the parade. Decoration awards will be given for different categories and ages.  Parade check-in will begin at 5:45 p.m. next to the concession stand located in the middle of the softball fields at Morgan Sports Center.

Following the parade will be live music, kickball, moonwalks, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and much more. And, be sure to stick around for the fireworks show!

APALACHICOLA

In Apalachicola, an old fashioned street parade, ice cream social and riverfront concert will cool you off on July 3. The traditional Red, White and Blue parade will start the festivities at 6:30 pm at Lafayette Park.

Decorate your golf cart, scooter, wagons, car or yourself with the many decorations we have on hand or Bring Your Own!  The parade will end at Riverfront Park with an ice cream social.

Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase and several bands playing music will continue throughout the evening.  At around 9:00pm a professional FIREWORKS DISPLAY will take place over the Apalachicola River at Riverfront Park.

ST. GEORGE ISLAND

On St. George Island, everyone is welcome to join in the annual July 4th Parade.  Parade begins at 11:00.  Hosted by the St. George Island Business Association.  Prize for the best decorated golf cart.
