Man Held on Grand Theft Charges

The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Anthony Zermeno, 23 years of age. Zermeno was arrested at approximately 3:30 p.m., on July 2, 2012, for Grand Theft and Violation of Probation for previous charges of Forgery and Theft.

The Panama City Police Department was contacted by the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, Alabama, in reference to their victim's credit card being used in several locations throughout Panama City in excess of $4,000.00.

Panama City Police detectives were able to identify Zermeno and his girl friend, Jennifer Mixon, 23 years of age, as suspects. Zermeno learned that the police were attempting to locate him and he turned himself in to officers. He was booked into the Bay County Jail for the charges. Detectives are attempting to locate Mixon for questioning in this case; her last known address was on Hwy. 388 in Youngstown, Florida.
