On June 29, 2012, deputies with the Bay County Sheriff's Office arrested a Panama City Beach man for an alleged sexual relationship with a juvenile under the age of 16.
Deputies originally responded to a home on Panama City Beach in reference to a domestic violence issue. Once at the home they received information that a juvenile residing in the house was engaged in a sexual relationship with a 43 year old man.
According to the victim, the victim routinely visited the home of the suspect and sometimes they engaged in sexual acts. Deputies then went to the home of the suspect John Dion Wawrzyniak, DOB 2/4/69, of 9322 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach. Wawrzyniak stated to deputies he did engage in sexual acts with the juvenile nine times. Wawrzyniak was arrested and charged with nine counts of Lewd and Lascivious Offenses Against a Child under the age of 16.
