
The body of a swimmer that went missing off Panama City Beach on Monday has been found.
According to Panama City Beach Police the body of Tainarien "Tay" Elliot was discovered by a woman Wednesday morning at around 7 a.m. in the area of Beach Access 47. That is approximately 300 yards from where Elliot went missing on Monday.
Elliot went missing on Monday near the Days Inn on Front Beach Road. According to Panama City Beach Police, 19-year-old Mario Waldrop of New Albany, Mississippi was swimming in the Gulf and became distressed.
Waldrop's cousins, 24-year-old Elliot and 23-year-old Vasonique Thompson attempted to rescue him and also became distressed. A bystander rescued Thompson and Waldrop but couldn't reach Elliot.
