Mexico Beach Water Main Ruptured

A fiber optic contractor digging next to City Hall in Mexico Beach has hit the city's main water main, disrupting water service to the eastern half of the city.

According to City Administrator Chris Hubbard, the contractor hit the main line this morning.

Crews are working to restore water to the city. Hubbard said that residents from 19th Street to C.R. 386 at the Gulf County line should boil water as a precaution.
