A beach clean-up employee is pronounced dead following an accident that took place behind the Twin Palms Condominiums. According to Panama City Beach Police, 25-year-old Sean Philbrook of Panama City Beach was working with the trash collection services on the beach, when he fell from the trailer he was working from and was struck by the wheels on the trailer.
Emergency services personnel arrived on scene at about 7:11 p.m. and transported Philbrook to Bay Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
Police confirmed Philbrook was employed by Coastal Parasail, a clean up company contracted by the Bay County Tourist Development Council to keep the beaches clean. Coastal Parasail was contracted by the TDC this January and is expected to serve the county through the remainder of their 5 year contract.
This case is still under investigation.
