Local Artist Remembered

Posted: Updated:

A local artist is being remember after a fatal accident on the beach Monday night. Sean Philbrook died after falling off and getting run over by a trash collecting trailer.

It's tragedy that doesn't seem real for Sean Philbrook's wife, Chelsea Baxter. "I just want him to come home. We have a recording studio in the garage, and I just want him back."

Philbrook was an aspiring local artist in the hip-hop community; his rap name Sean-P.

But Monday night, his music career took a turn for the worse. While Philbrook was working his trash collecting job, he was trying to cross over the tongue of the trailer, he slipped, fell and was run over long ways.

"When ever you have heavy machinery, tractors, large loaded trailers, accidents usually are not minor," says Officer Shaun Maguadog with the Beach Police. "Just like on the farm, they're serious and deadly when they happen."

Friends and family say Sean P was a family, and when it came to his kids, his music was put on pause.

"He would put us out the studio and do his family time," says Khalin Collins, a close friend, "That's what he would call it. 'I'm not recording today. Its family time."

While the loss of a friend, husband, and father, is tough for all, they say his memory will never skip a beat.
