At Tuesday night's Callaway Commission meeting Interim City Manager Bobby Baker provided details about the Northwest Florida Water Management District Grant.
The city received a check for $53998.12 for the Sandy Creek utilities project.
Baker suggested the grant be distributed to property owners in the form of credits for the amounts of $134.65 for water services, and 269.32 for sewer and water services.
Although commissioners held up their end of the bargain residents from the community were still not satisfied with the results.
"I believe if that's what was said," said Commissioner Ralph Hollister. "That's what needs to be done."
"We the homeowners in Sandy Creek utilities service area would like to make a formal appeal of the impact fees to the city of Callaway," said Sandy Creek homeowner Vernon Mayhew.
"We feel the impact fees are not fair and the city should give us a better deal."
The city also told citizens that Callaway is being proactive in applying for more grants that provide additional relief of impact fees for Sandy Creek residents.
