The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Shanette T. Beachum, 22 years of age, and Sharita R. Marshall, 22 years of age.
Panama City Police officers and detectives responded to the 700 block of E. 13th Street scene at approximately 3:30 p.m. on July 13, 2012 in reference to a disturbance and shots being fired. While investigation the incident officers and investigators learned that Marshall went with Beachum to the victims residence to collect $45.00 owed to Beachum for cleaning work she had done for the victim earlier in the week.
When Beachum did not receive the payment she threatened the victim with a handgun, demanding the payment as Marshall participated in the incident and then Beachum fired several shots into the air. Marshall and Beachum fled the area on foot together.
Officers located Marshall within an hour of the incident; she was arrested and charged with principal to aggravated assault. Beachum was unable to be located until approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 14, 2012, she was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, discharging a firearm in public, improper/dangerous exhibition of a firearm, and tampering with evidence. Both were booked into the Bay County Jail for the charges.
