
Four Bay County golfers had one more round to go low as they were taking part in a U.S. Amateur qualifier over at the Pensacola Country Club.
With 18 holes left in the 36 hole qualifier all four participants from Bay County had some strokes to make up if they want to earn one of the two spots available into this years U.S. Amateur Championship.
Of the four golfers from Bay County, Michael Riley was low Monday with a two under par 70.
He followed that up with a 74 Tuesday. Plus 2 for two days.
Mike Riley shot a three over 75 Monday and a 75 Tuesday for a plus six.
John Gonczol shot a four over 76 Monday and a 75 Tuesday for a plus seven.
Minus eight was the low score for two days.
Chase Seifret followed his one under 71 Monday with the low round of the day Tuesday, a seven under 65.
Chase tied with two others at 8 under for the two days, so the three went back out on the course for a playoff, where Chase was eliminated on the second playoff hole with a bogey.
So Chase earning the first alternate spot if one of the two qualifiers can't make it to the U.S. AM. Championship.
