
Bay Arts Alliance is proud to announce its 2012-2013 Presenting Arts Series and more. After many months of planning, inquiring and negotiating, we've settle on a series sure to pique the interest of the entire community.
In addition to a great line-up, it is an expanded one as well. This year, we are able to offer five (5) performances for the same price as last year's four (4) show series! They are:
LEGENDARY COMEDIAN .MARTIN SHORT – Sun., Dec.16, 2012
Martin Short, a celebrated comedian and actor, has won fans and accolades in television, film and theater since his breakout season on Saturday Night Live almost 30 years ago. His popularity and exposure led Short to cross over quickly into feature films. He made his debut in Three Amigos and followed by Inner Space, Three Fugitives, Clifford, Pure Luck and Tim Burton's Mars Attacks. One of Short's most memorable roles was in the remake of Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride II, as Franck the wedding planner. Currently, Short can be seen on the CBS hit comedy series How I Met Your Mother in the recurring role of Garrison Cootes.

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT WINNER!
After receiving standing ovations from judges Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel, singing a sizzling duet with the iconic Patti LaBelle, and crooning a rousing rendition of "My Way," Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. was named the winner of AGT's sixth season on Sept. 14, 2011. Landau's first album, "That's Life" debuted at number one on the Billboard jazz charts and the top 40 overall. Not only did his unique singing style make him stand out from all of his competition, Landau's humility, charm and confidence endear him to audiences at his sold-out concerts.

DISNEY'S BROADWAY MUSICAL!
Disney's Beauty and the Beast features the animated film's Academy Award®-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. The book is written by Linda Woolverton.
The original creators of the Broadway production are together again for this new touring production!
ELVIS LIVES! – Wed., Feb. 20, 2013
An unforgettable multi-media and live musical journey across Elvis' life. This mega show features four finalists from Elvis Presley Enterprises' annual worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. The cast members include Bill Cherry, Ben Klein, Kevin Mills and Victor Trevino, Jr., each representing Elvis during different stages in his career. The Elvis tribute artists will be joined by a live band, back-up singers, dancers, along with an Ann-Margret tribute artist, as well as iconic imagery made available from the Graceland archives.

This exuberant musical about a group of young Americans searching for peace and love in a turbulent time has struck a resonant chord with audiences young and old. HAIR features an extraordinary cast and unforgettable songs, including "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In," "Good Morning, Starshine" and "Easy To Be Hard." Its relevance is UNDENIABLE. Its energy is UNBRIDLED. Its truth is UNWAVERING. It's HAIR, and IT'S TIME.
We never want to let it go unsaid that the support individuals and businesses provide through membership and sponsorship affordsBay Arts Alliance the ability to provide opportunities for cultural enrichment for nearly 7,500 area children annually at no cost to the children or the schools. We present free live performances to all Bay County students in grades 1, 3, and 5 as well as host two cultural festivals; one for special needs elementary age students and another for preschoolers in partnership with Bay Education Foundation. We could not do this without your support as a contributing member.
We are also terribly proud to extend the reach and relevance of our Arts in Education programming! In addition to the free concert for 5th graders, September 20 and 21, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, award winning song writers, will be leading sight singing workshops for actors and Scott Coulter, who performed here with Stephen Schwartz a few years ago will conduct a vocal coaching class. Both of these evenings, they will perform Cabaret concerts in the Backstage Pass setting.
January 30, Award Winning Magician, Kevin Spencer will perform his live theatrical illusion show for all local 1st graders and then that afternoon and the following (January 31)conduct accredited professional development classes for Speech and Occupational Therapists entitle the Hocus Focus and The Healing of Magic, On February 1, he and his wife, Cindy, will present The Spencers: Theatre of Illusion.
The deadline for current Bay Arts Allaince members and sponsors to renew and keep their season seats will be Thursday, August 2nd by 5:00 PM. Non-Renewed seats will be released the following day. New members and sponsors will then be processed.
