A lightning strike is suspected as the cause of a fire that destroyed a house in Lynn Haven during a Sunday afternoon thunderstorm.
Crews from the Bay County Fire Department and Lynn Haven Fire Department responded to the home at 3040 East 12th Street just before 3:00 p.m.
Battalion Chief Darrel Wise said a man and woman were in the home when the fire broke out but were able to escape without injury. The home is a total loss, he said.
