The city of Callaway may be making some changes back to a five day work week. Callaway is the only municipality in Bay County that operates on a four day work week. Callaway has been on the four day work week since August of 2008. City leaders say the decision was made in order to save money on fuel costs and to provide longer hours for citizens to use city services.
Newly appointed Commissioner Pamn Henderson and Ward Three Commissioner David Otano tonight said it's time to change back. Both commissioners said residents have approached them in large numbers about changing the city's policy. Citizens also spoke up at the commission meeting tonight saying they would like the five day work week back.
