Bay District Employee Faces Possible Termination

A Bay District School Employee faces possible termination following a molestation investigation.

Last week, 32 year old Quanzda Hillsman was arrested for molesting a 12 year old girl at Oscar Patterson Elementary School. Hillsman was with his mother, Sheila Perry, a paraprofessional. Hillsman has previously been arrested on similar charges several times, but was mentally incompetent to stand trial. After the recent incident, Perry was suspended with pay for violating the districts protocol for visitors.

Monday, after an informal private hearing with the District, Perry will face suspension without pay.

The School Board will vote Thursday. The superintendent's recommendation is to proceed with termination.
