
A string of car burglaries in South Walton County has the Sheriff's Office urging residents and tourists to take precautions.
According to Walton County Sheriff's Office, around 20 cars have been burglarized in the Seacrest and Seagrove areas. They believe these incidents occur on the weekends in the late hours of the night. The suspects have stolen items ranging from firearms to radar detectors.
They said, in all cases, victims have not locked their doors and they remind you to always lock your vehicle and remove valuables when you are parked.
